I Would Make A Good Talk Show Host

It’s right up my street.

Are you kidding?  Getting in front of a camera.  Talking.  Interviewing guests.  Chatting it up with people from many different places who do all kinds of interesting things.

WOW! Sign me up!

Oh yes, and I bring some cool things to the table too.

I do.  Here are some of the reasons why I would make a good talk show host:

I grew up in a neighborhood that had many first and second generation immigrants living in it – and I so loved hearing stories about their customs and traditions.  You could say that this helped me hone the skill (not to mention enjoyment) of speaking with people from all four corners of the Earth and who are a wide variety of interests.

I’m a good listener.  As I said I loved hearing stories about life in countries other than my own, and that also goes for people who are from other parts of the USA as well.

I’m a good speaker.  I am chatty by nature and I have the ability to improvise and lead in conversations.

I am fun.  I have a good sense of humor and can bring that out in others as well.

I am fashion-conscious.  Looks count in front of a camera and I have maintained a fit body for life and have good fashion sense and taste.  I can be a bit trendy and have fun in what I wear, which is a plus hosting a show.

I’m 60.  Still young.  Never giving up.  I raised the family and now I’m going after the dream. That will appeal to other women who are in the same situation.  For the record, I’ve met dozens of them while filming.

Being an autism mom is a bonus.

There are millions of parents around the world who have autistic children.  Add to that the grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and friends and you’ve got a huge number of people who relate to what it’s like to face the challenge autism brings.

As mom to a severely autistic son, I have homeschooled him for more than 20 years, and have always supported the “natural” methods of treatment, such as dietary intervention, nutraceuticals, herbal remedies, Daily Life Therapy and Imitation Therapy.  I have implemented all of these myself and am very comfortable speaking about any or all of them during an interview.

Viewers who have autistic children/loved ones would relate to me, and perhaps I’d be able to give some of them information that helped their child.

Summing it all up – a talk show host gig would be perfect for me!
